Nicole has been passionate about art since she was a toddler and has found meditation through her creativity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Illustration, a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, and a Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She enjoys telling stories with her acrylic paintings and capturing the essence of one’s spirit in her pencil portraits. She has taught Art in schools, senior centers, rehabs and detoxes along the North and Shores of Ma and paints murals at a pediatric dentist office in Beverly.
Nicole grew up in Haverhill Ma as an only child, who found solace in getting in touch with inner creativity. She has been recognized throughout all of her years of schooling by achieving awards and having her name and illustrations in the local newspaper. She paints in a graphic, yet realistic style and draws with a photorealistic technique. Nicole has been taking commissions since 2006 and has been using art in her therapy techniques since 2015. She began employment in the mental health and substance use field by helping others use creativity to express themselves. As of recently, she found her true passion in child psychology, sharing her experience with the youth
Being in recovery herself, Nicole has spent many years drawing memorial portraits to celebrate those who have lost their fight to addiction. She is time efficient and pays close attention to detail in order to capture the true essence of each loved one.
